SHIFT administrators can add and manage users by choosing the User Management option in the Settings menu, and selecting Users. From this page, administrators can invite new users, manage assigned roles, and deactivate or permanently delete existing users.
Invite Users
To invite new users, you will enter the user's first and last name and email address, and then assign them to a SHIFT role. Learn more about roles and permissions in SHIFT. Once invited, the new user will receive an email with registration instructions.
Default Permissions for SHIFT
- User - Can search SHIFT to get answers from your data.
- Creator - Can generate content to create search experiences.
- Admin - Can administer site, manage users and roles, change settings.
Manage Users
Administrators can manage registered users from the Users page, including making changes to the assigned role and deactivating or deleting users. To delete an active user, you must first deactivate their account. Once deactivated, the delete icon for that user will be enabled.
